Baby Names

I have to admit I really do not enjoy this part of having children. I feel like its a huge weight, this kid has to live with this name for the rest of its life. Man, it better be good. I hate when I hear a name and I'm like wow, sorry about that. Is that mean?!?

We're starting to get serious about this search. I have been stuck on 2 for a little while, but Chris won't commit. Her middle name is going to be Shay, so its gotta go with that. My favorites are Addison and Leah. My dad wants Maggie, my mom wants Olivia (which is Wyatt would have been if he was a girl) all the siblings have said a name at one point, so that makes it fun. I keep asking Wyatt what her name should be and he has said, Ricky and Lucky. The latter of which he has gotten stuck on. Every time in the last few weeks I ask him her name he says Lucky. Hilarious. Anyway....any advice, or any suggestions! My only criteria is that I don't know anyone with that name.....or that its not too common., but feel free to suggest away.

For now...her name is Lucky!

Potty Training - an update

Well after a few days we realized out little one is not ready for the potty training. He had a few ups but mostly down, so we may try again before the baby comes, but maybe not. I'm afraid he'll revert back after the baby comes. So that is my pitiful tale of a potty training failure. We'll keep him trying the potty to see if he shows some more interest.

This picture is from the one afternoon of success we had potty training. My sister Katie came over to hang out and she had some jelly belly's. Wyatt loves them, he calls them "beans" and we told him he could only have a "bean" if we went on the potty. That afternoon no accidents but about 20 trips to the potty. Katie went in to check on him once and this is how she found him. I love this kid!

Potty Training Day 3

Well, I'd say a step away. I don't want to say a step back because when he wanted to, Wyatt did really well. I woke up really tired and not feeling too great so I didn't get going til about 10. I went to get Wy dressed and asked him if he wanted a diaper or underwear and he said "unnerwears" so that's what we did. We went til just before lunch without an accident, and when he had an accident he told me, which I think is a step forward. We did nothing after lunch so just a good mid morning. Anyway, we'll see how it goes. I'm just not sure he's quite ready---and besides he's too busy drumming to be bothered by going to the bathroom. Thanks for listening :)

Potty Training Day 2

Well, I don't know if we were quite ready for this. Wyatt has moments of doing well and then moments of terrible. The mornings are generally good. He hold it for a long time and then goes well. The afternoons are another story. He only gets to the potty about half the time, if that. I had told myself that I wasn't going to leave the house all week to get him used to it, but I broke that. Yesterday we went to the store for about an hour with no problems at all! Today we went out for lunch and we had a #2 accident. (the first one since starting) Not fun to clean up. I came prepared for the change but not the transporting of the dirty clothes. Luckily I used my last 2 wipes cleaning up the mess, so I was able to stuff the undies in there. Tonight I got a little more aggressive, giving him more juice and having him sit on the potty a lot! It went all right. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

Potty Training

Well we embarked on a new adventure today. We started potty training. This morning was great, this afternoon not so much. He is doing great going to the bathroom when I take him, but not so much in between. I'm taking him every 20 minutes which sometimes isn't' enough. Although we went to the store this morning with him in underwear and he didn't go at all. Crazy kid. So, we'll see how he progresses through the week. We decided to put him in underwear instead of putting him in pull ups so he could feel when he was wet more easily. He was VERY proud of his underwear.

Morris Christmas

We had a really nice time with Chris' family in New Jersey last week. We were all exhausted by the end of the time but refreshed by being with family. Wyatt got soo much stuff, we put some of it away for when the baby comes. The baby got a bassinet for when she gets here and we got some great stuff for the new place. A great day all in all. Here are a few pictures!
