5 kids

We had a fun filled night tonight. Beccah and Michael are out of town are we are watching Kayle and Kyle for the night. No problem, just two more. Then on Monday I got a call asking if we could watch two more, the Perstrope kids. The kids of our new music pastor Chris. They were going to a class party and I know that I would want someone to help me out, so I said sure. They have Tyler who is almost 3 and Chloe who is one month older than Wyatt. We had a great time. The Perstope's just live down the road so Chris just took the kids home and put them to bed and I took care of the rest. Is is now 10:00 and all the kids are in bed and Chris just got back. A nice quite hour before we can't keep our eyes open anymore! Here are some pictures.

Our living room is very small, so if you look closely you can see the different playing stations, Kyle playing a video game, Chloe playing with something, Kayle and Wyatt playing with blocks and Tyler playing with cars, it was a bit crowded.

They grow up to fast

I was feeling nostalgic last night so I made a slideshow of pictures from when Wyatt was a newborn...about the first 6 months. Its amazing to me how fast they grow! I love being a mommy! You can find the slideshow in the sidebar.

Wyatt has just been playing in his room and I keep going back to make sure he's staying out of trouble. I just went back and this is how I found him.

What a riot, he literally was playing with his clothes for at least 20 minutes. Having the time of his life!

Thanksgivings over......here comes Christmas

Well, our thanksgiving went great! Chris' parents, brother and new sister-in-law all arrived Tuesday afternoon. They had left Clarks Summit at 4am, these people are crazy. They were a little sleepy, but ready to have fun with the Wy-man, and boy did they ever. Tim had brought Wyatt some new blocks that he had made, Wyatt had so much fun tearing down everything anyone made.

They also brought him a backpack full of books, at first he wasn't so sure what to think of the backpack, but after a while, he didn't want to take it off.

We really enjoyed just laying around the house and playing with the kid. Thanksgiving day was great. I put the turkey in the oven around 8 and then continued preparing everything else. We had green bean casserole, corn casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry relish and croissant rolls. I casually got that ready throughout the morning and then when the turkey came out I started running a marathon. Everything turned out wonderful. All the food was finished at the same time, and Chris cut the turkey beautifully! The only glitch in the day was that Wyatt only napped for 1 hour, unlike the day before when we slept for 4. Crazy kid. After dinner, we cleaned up the kitchen and I took a nap :)

Friday we took the family to the new American countryside farmers market. We walked around and tasted the food and bought some really yummy kettle corn, perfect blend of salty and sweet! So good! That night Tim and Stacy took Chris and I out for dinner while nana and pop babysat for the first time. Thanks guys! They left at 4am on Saturday, seriously what's wrong with these people 4am is an ungodly hour! :) We then crashed all weekend. Wyatt had been a little sick and couldn't go to church on Sunday so we really had a great time relaxing! Sunday we put up our Christmas decorations, tis the season! Here's to hoping Wyatt doesn't break all the ornaments!

So Tired!

I feel as if I just had Wyatt and just brought him home from the hospital. I am that tired right now, and its his fault, mostly. Chris and I stayed up a little too late cleaning and getting ready for his family to come and then Wyatt decided that 3:20 was a good time to wake up for the day to start. He was literally in his bed jumping and ready for the day. Mommy however was nowhere near ready. I didn't feel well and hadn't slept well until that point. I was not a happy mommy, I probably said some things I didn't mean. But we finally got back to sleep at almost 5am just in time for me to get up at 6:40. Lord, help us all!

Days fly by too fast!

Well, we have enjoyed our time since the play ended. Not so crazy, but still busy. Getting ready for Thanksgiving this week. Chris and I are hosting his parents, his brother Tim and his Wife Stacy. We are so excited to have them come, but the more I think about it the more nervous I get about fixing Thanksgiving dinner! It will be fine though. Wyatt is becoming a little stinker, I have no idea where he gets it :) He climbed up onto a chair in the kitchen so he could get a box of cereal the other day, here's the face he made at me.

He thought he was pretty funny! He reminded me of my brother in this picture, David used to make a face very much like this one. Saturday we went to Chris Knafel and Rachel Peterson's wedding. It was really nice! Kaley and Kyle were the flower girl and ring bearer, they did so well! Kyle even helped Kayle down the asile, as she lagged behind. They were so sweet. I asked them after the wedding if I could take a picture of them for Grandma and Grandpa Geshay and this is how they posed. For those of you who know these two, you will completely understand this picture.

We worked in the walker nursery on Sunday morning, and we had 19 kids with us. 4 adults, 19 children! CRAZY! We were exhausted. Wyatt fell in the nursery, his poor little nose.

Well, on to another busy week, hopefully I'll be able to keep up, but no promises! Love to all!

Its finally over!

Well, the play is finally over, the kids all did great! We even had to deal with our lead puking in the back and then going on stage! Chris almost got to play a new role! They all stepped up and did a great job in the end! Ad-Lib and all! It involved many late nights and some extra special patience, but it turned out great in the end. We had the most wonderful parents involved in this production, they brought dinner and snacks every night and never once complained about the demands put on their kids! They were amazing! It was great to get that support from them! After the last show we had to take down our entire set so they could use the stage for Sunday morning, we had so much help that we were done by midnight! This could have been really tricky becuase the set was 17' high! We get to enjoy a date night soon because the kids gave us a gift card for Texas Roadhouse and a coupon for free babysitting, they all loved Wyatt so much!

Weigh In

Sorry I haven't posted about my weight loss progress. I'm doing ok, still not coming off as fast as I would like. I have lost 3 pounds to date. I've been walking and doing strength training at night. Let me just tell you last Tuesday I did lunges and my legs hurt until Saturday! A good pain though. I will try my best this week but we will be at the church every night this week, so I have to eat what I am given (with in reason obviously) The play is Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I'll try to get some pictures of the process!
