New shoes

I am in love....with a pair of shoes that is. Amy took us shopping last week and when we went into DSW, I found the perfect pair of shoes. It has the perfect size heel for someone my height (5' 10") and is the perfect shade of brown. Any a huge plus they make my feet look small :) I put them on and fell in love. I am pretty sure I have been looking for these shoes for like 5 years, I just never found the perfect one. Now, you haveto understand something about me. I don't spend money on shoes. I get really what I need and nothing else. I like shoes, but I can't spend all that money on them. I usually buy my shoes at payless and wear them til they fall apart. These were special, and I love them! Thanks Amy for my perfect shoes :)

Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend. It started with Amy and David coming to visit, yea! They both got here Thursday night. Friday was spent shopping for Easter wear and Aunt Amy graciously bought me and Wyatt some new duds. Thanks Amy! Friday night was out for Beccah's birthday, Saturday was spent at home and then a fun evening at the Butler's for fajitas with the Burkharts too. Sunday we had a great morning in church celebrating the amazing sacrifice our Lord made for us! He is Risen, The Lord is risen indeed! What a great morning of praise! Sunday was then spent at the Butler's, by this point we were thinking we should have just moved in with them for the weekend. We had a great lunch and then all of us, literally all of us took naps. Some longer than others, but still. Quiet house+long weekend + late nights = naps.

We spent the evening playing some poker and then home for more sleep. What a great weekend!

Date Night

Last night Chris and I got to go out on a date. First one in a while. We started with dinner at Outback, yum! Then a little bit of shopping to waste some time, then off to a movie. We went to see Vantage Point, we really enjoyed it! A student from the school babysat for Wyatt and they had a great time. Lexi took some pictures that were so cute, I stole them from her facebook to post them here. Thanks Lexi for watching Wyatt and thanks to Chris' parents for the gift cards to go out to eat!

One sick week

Well along with the excitement of taking to the ER last week, which his eye is fine for those wo would like to know, I was really sick. We were home from church becaue I was sick with the flu in bed. Fever, chills, aches, some congestion, tight chest, and if I had looked at a toilet then....well you cn fill in the rest. I ended up laying as low as life would let me until the end of the week. I was able to stay home from work on Monday, thanks so my awesome babysitter who came and picked up Wyatt so I could get some rest. She came and I think I was in bed asleep before she left our street. I slept most of Monday and by the end of the day started feeling a little better. Tuesday I had to watch one of the kindergardners for an hour so I had to be feeling at least a little better, which I was. Wednesday was the kicker. I really needed to go to work. So, I had to suck it up and go to work. I was feeling a lot better than Monday, but still not any where near 100%. When I got home from work it was all I could do not to get right into bed. Right after I laid Wyatt down I did to. So, finally by Thursday, I was feeling like I could function normally. The good news throughout this whole thing, I lost 8lbs. That never happens to me. Well, mostly better now, I still have some head stuff and chest stuff, but definatly much bettter. Here's a picture of Wyatt chillin on the couch to make you smile after that boring blog. Battle Scars

Well, we've had our first trip to the ER with Wyatt. He was playing with Chris this morning actually folding laundry and Wyatt was leaning out of the basket and it fell over and he his his eye on the adjacent basket. He cut his eye open and it looked bad enough that I thought he might need stiches. Long story short, he didn't get them, it was just on the edge of needed them or not. The Dr. didn't want to put him through the trauma of the stiches if he didn't really have to have them. So, that was our excitement for the day.
