SO busy!

Chris has recently taken a new full time job.  He is now the interim youth pastor at Ogletown Baptist Church.  It is an exciting experience for us but has also made us very busy.  Which I am using as my excuse for not blogging.  My brother keeps yelling at me that I don't blog enough.....but we live close now so why is he yelling.  Anyway, back to our busy schedule.  This summer we have already had VBS, and a week of Jr. High camp at BBC which was awesome.  As well as every week we are having "Wet and wild Wednesday's" (if you live in the area and are of high school age, feel free to join us!)  All fun, but super busy.  Hey, have I said we've been busy...  We are home only for the weekend to attend a birthday party and a wedding and turn right back around to go back up to TLC at BBC again.  Then back home for a week with friends from out of town (which will be super awesome) and then "Love your Neighbor Cooperative" LYNC  at church.  We will be helping our "neighbors" around the area all week.  Then a week off then pretty much back to school stuff.  Man o Man, I'm exhausted just writing this.  All the while I have been training for the Rock and Roll half marathon in Philly in September.  A huge time commitment, but I am super excited.  Hoping to lose 20lbs by the time the race gets here (a little over 10 weeks away)  WOW!

Oh well, that's a little bit of us.  Maybe it will be sooner when I blog again.  I'm sure I'll get some encouragement from my brother to get with it ;) 

Confessional

Seems like a lot of my blogging friends out there are into getting to know each other. So I guess I will join in.  Here are some useless facts you don't know you want to know about me :)

1.  I have two young kids so we watch cartoons.  I secretly love the show Chugginton on Disney.  Don't know why, just do.

2.  I would rather do anything else in the world than clean.....I know I have to do it, but I find a lot of excuses not to do it.  I know WAY too many people who can't stand if there house has a little spec of dirt on the floor.  I am not one of those.

3.  I LOVE to sleep, but with two kids don't get nearly enough.  In fact, I have not slept through the night since I was pregnant with Wyatt.  Seriously, not the whole night!!  I'm thinking this might have something to do with the fact that I am having a hard time losing weight.  I have been challenging myself to go to bed at 10pm lately,  maybe that will help

4.  I am SCARED to death to run a half marathon (much less a marathon) but am going to do it in September!!

So I think I am the world's worst blogger!  Days and days (and sometimes weeks) go by and I don't blog.  I'll try to be better.

We had baby girls birthday party last Sunday afternoon.  Poor thing had been sick since the Thursday before.  Seriously sick on Saturday.  She was awake a total of 3 hours on Saturday, high fever, etc.  She was miserable.  Thankfully her fever broke Saturday evening so we could still have her party.  Sunday she stayed home from church (thanks grandma) and got some rest so that when all of the guests arrived, she was a happy little girl.  She ate a bite of cake and that gave her some energy and she was adorable.  She sat in a chair and opened her presents...mostly by herself.  All in all a great day with family, the Morris contingent even made it here from up north!  Yay!

News about Katie

I posted a few weeks back that I was gonna have some exciting news about my sister Katie.  I know all one of you have been waiting with baited breath....Katie and Matt are gonna have a baby!  She has started her 14th week this week which is father than she has ever gotten.  Everything is going well.  Baby is growing well and so is Katie's belly.  Its fun to go through a pregnancy on this side of it, I get to be an Aunt!  (I already am but I get to hold this one)  My heart is already filled with so much love for this baby.  November can't get here fast enough!!!

One year ago....

One year ago today I was cradling my new sweet baby girl in my arms.  All 8lbs 10oz of her!  I CANNOT believe how fast this year has gone!  She is one little spitfire.  Unfortunately on her birthday we had to go for her one year check up, but she did great shots and all.  She is now 30" tall and 20lbs 14oz.  Still pretty long and in the middle in weight.   She is trying to walking down.  She will walk with help, even holding one hand, but if you let go, she will sit right down.....Unless she's on the grass, then she will just stand there.  Her favorite new thing is swimming in the pool.  Loving that!  She can say "hi" and is really speaking her own language other than that.  She is growing so fast and I am loving EVERY minute of it!  Happy Birthday sweet girl!
