Weight and Height

I forgot to post about Leah's Dr.'s appt. She weighed 13 lbs 2 oz up from 11lbs. 24 1/2 " long, grew an inch. Both are at the top of the charts, she's a big girl just like her brother. In fact she is the same length he was at 2 months and weighs only 2 oz less than he was. She did great at her appt except for the shots. I have to say that with Wy I never cried when he got his shots, but with her it was a different story. I don't know if it was just b/c her cry was so heartbroken or what. But I was all choked up and when the nurse left I cried. She reacted great after that and even first took her first bottle so Chris and I could go on a date late that day! Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince!

Mean Kids

Now on the parenting front I try not to get too involved in Wy's playing with other kids. For the most part they all get along great. He's got some great friends and a very diverse group at that. He is the youngest of the group by 2 years and sometimes it shows. Like now with potty training, and not knowing when to stop or how to play games with rules. But for the most part they are great. They love to play with him, if he's out they come out. But today, I wanted to yell at one of them. Three of them were playing and the one kid went home, he was gone for a while and emerged with a Popsicle for the third kid and his statement only big kids get the Popsicles. The hair on the top of my head stood up! I told him to go home that if he wasn't going to be nice then I didn't want Wy playing with him. I know that we are all sinners, but that's just low. A lesson I'm sure Wy will learn a lot over his life. Its one that will never be easy for me to watch.

Great Grandparents

Leah got to meet her Great Grandparents in June. What a special time that was. Wyatt and Leah are their only great grandchildren so far so it was fun to have them love on each other. :) Grandpa played drums with Wy and they both had a nice time holding Leah. This is a picture that my sister Katie took. I get choked up every time I look at it. That's all I'll say about it.

I didn't get any picture of them with both kids b/c I couldn't find my camera the morning they left to get one when I thought about it. But they got one, maybe they can send it to me :) Or the'll just have to come visit again soon so we can get another one :) Thanks for coming to spend time with my kiddos love you Grandpa and Grandma Geshay!

Leah is two months

Well yeah a few weeks ago, but this is the first chance I've had to write. Leah goes to the Dr. Tomorrow so I'll post her measurements then. She still likes to eat every two hours when she's awake, but its getting a little better. She took a bottle of breast milk in preparation of me getting to go out without her for longer than an hour. It was bittersweet to watch her drink it. She had the saddest cry at the beginning. She is a sleeper. She will usually do a 7hour stint starting between 10-11pm. She has even done one 9 hour stint!!! She eats and then goes back to sleep until abut 11am. Very nice! Too bad I don't' get to take advantage of that nap very often. She is a really good baby. She went to the beach for the first time too!! It was a busy month.

Monthly milestones

She has found her hands and feet.

She can roll from her belly to her back.

She loves to smile.

She is starting to make some sweet noises

She is holding her head up very well, and loves looking all around the room.

Wy's new bike

Wyatt has been wanting a bike for quite a while. We were planning on getting him one for his birthday, but we have been blessed with awesome neighbors who have two boys a little older than Wyatt so we have gotten a TON of hand me downs. This time it was a bike. This boy LOVES his bike, a few weeks ago the day after he got it it was raining on a Sunday and Wyatt was walking to Sunday school with my mom and he looked up at the sky and said "its gotta stop raining I need to go home, I need to ride my bike" Every day, weather permitting, he wants to go out and ride ride ride!
