Overwhelmed

This is going to be a very honest, long overdue blog, and I just need to get it off my chest so bare with me.

Life today is very overwhelming to me!  All in good ways, but to me overwhelmed is the only word that goes through my head.  In the last 6 months we have found out we were having twins, looked at about 30 houses, found one we liked that needed work, got it, my oldest turned 5 the week after we closed and in the middle of trying to give the new house some tlc, I registered him for school, and moved all in the same week.

I am now 25 weeks pregnant. At my last dr's apt I was measuring 32 weeks...yes you heard read right, 32 weeks.  The doc said to a trainee, not only is she having twins, she has big babies.  Just what I wanted to hear.  Its been so frustrating because when I need the most energy, fixing up this house and getting settled, I have NONE!  I am exhausted, scared, sick, emotional, and like I said overhwlemed.  At just about any moment of the day I want to burst into tears, mostly for no reason.  I snap at my husband and my kids and I HATE  it!  I am ready to be done being pregnant, but totally not ready for 2 more kids to join our lives!

All of these things are so great in my life and I am TRULY BLESSED and thankful for how God has and is providing for us on a daily basis, I am just overwhelmed.  I know I am not alone, and not the first woman to feel this way, just asking for some extra prayers so go up on my behalf!

3.9

I ran my longest run a a while the other night and boy was it nice!

I ran with my friend Kaci...also pregnant...and we kept a wonderful 10:30 or so pace.  3.9mi has never felt so good.

Lately though, its getting HOT.  I knew it would be coming, but I wasn't quite prepared for it. So now my runs must be after 7:30, sometimes later.  I LOVE running in the evenings, but it is when my kids go to bed. So either I miss bedtime or go right after they get in bed.  No big deal though.  These days, I'm not gone very long!

I have found that I need to leave water at my mailbox. Since, for right now, I have been blessed with running a 1.3 mi loop (didn't always think that was a blessing) I can leave nice cold water on the mailbox that I can drink from every lap!  So nice!  Its gonna have to get colder now that its getting hotter to hopefully help cool me down on the hot runs!

So there you have it 13.5 weeks pregnant, still running quite well!  My goal is 20 weeks, since with twins my 30 week goal is kind of shot!  Hopefully I can make it longer, but I think 20 is doable!!

Still Here

I'm still here....just super super lazy!

If you could take pics around our apt you would see...dishes in the sink...laundry to be done...toys to be picked up..beds to be made and bathrooms to be cleaned.

See, I said super lazy!

I just can't seem to get it together.  Any moment I have during the day, I just want to crash and take a nap.

I had one run last week..ONE!  Pathetic!

I did get a run in last night, only 2mi,  mostly for selfish reasons.  I had a Dr's apt today and wanted to make sure any water weight I had was gone.  Ha ha..ridiculous I know!

Dr.'s apt went great!  Saw two babies and two heartbeats!  Still crazy to me by the way!

I am planning on running tonight again as long as the weather holds out!

Feeling pretty good too. I've gained 9lbs...which I am none to happy about but since I am almost done with the first trimester with twins, I guess I'll take it!  Can't do anything about it now!

Pregnant Running

Crazy prospect right!?!  I can't believe I've been doing it for 6 weeks already (yes I know, technically 10, but the first 4 don't count cuz I didn't know I was yet (and really only Pregnant for 2 of those...confused yet)

In my pregnant running time I have actually done really well.  I wasn't sure how far I should go how fast I should go, but most that I read said that I just needed to listen to my body.  And that's what I have done (note:  I did get the doc's permission before continuing)   I've been running for a year now and def. know what I should feel like when I run and am comfortable making those decisions.

I miraculously clocked my fastest time over 3.1mi an 8:44.  I wasn't trying for that, just one of those days where you feel amazing!  I have been averaging about a 9:30-9:45 depending on the day and am ok with whatever pace.  Just getting the miles in is what matters to me right now.  I am shooting for 3 days a week at least 3 miles each.  I am also as much as possible going to try to walk on the days I am not running.  This  will take planning and discipline. I thought I had escaped the pregnancy sickness because I had been feeling good up until yesterday. But I have a little cold and have been feeling terrible the last two days, but am planning on running tonight!

Before I found out it was twins I was planning on running til 30 weeks, if I could make it. But now, we'll just have to see.  The most important thing is to keep these babies cooking as long as possible!!

Here's to hoping for weeks of running!!!
